National Education Standards and Education Governance Regulation
As a primary reference in ensuring quality education in Indonesia, the National Education Standards (SNP) play a crucial role in guaranteeing access to quality education for all children in Indonesia. CESP partners with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (MoECRT) in SNP policy reform through support in drafting regulations related to SNP at the level of Government Regulations and Ministerial Regulations. Along the way, CESP is also asked to assist in drafting regulations related to the provision of special service education and homeschooling.
PSPK Roles
Supporting MoECRT in:
- Drafting regulations related to the National Education Standards.
- Drafting Ministerial Regulations related to homeschooling.
- The provision of special service education.
The support provided includes legal drafting support, substance processing, and public testing.
Research | Advocacy | Implementation |
Formulating National Education Standards (SNP) that accommodate the diversity of regional contexts, are not overly administrative, and are quality-oriented. Research is necessary to understand the current conditions on the ground, issues, expectations, and what options can be undertaken. | Policies related to the current SNP are felt not to accommodate the diversity of regional contexts, are still considered too administrative, and are not fully oriented towards quality. | – |
