The session will explore Artificial Intelligence and Education in the Global South: A Systems Perspective, a new book by Professor Fernando Reimers, which examines how AI can be harnessed to support equitable, ethical, and context-sensitive transformation in education systems across the Global South.

Professor Fernando Reimers (Harvard Graduate School of Education), the author, and Callysta Thony as co-author will join the session as panellists.

The session will also involve policymakers and education experts as discussants :

• Irsyad Zamjani, Director of PSKP, Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen)
• Juneman Abraham, Vice Rector of BINUS University
